Lockdown in 4 metros of Gujarat still no relief: CMO Secretary Ashwini Kumar

Big news has come for the people of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot. Shops in state metros will not be open till May 3. Shops will not be opened in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Surat. Restrictions imposed in metros until May 3 remain in place. Only life necessities shops will continue in metros. This was informed by CMO Secretary Ashwini Kumar at a press conference.

Municipal commissioners and district collectors in four metros of the state - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot - have consulted with the state government in consultation with local traders. In view of the growing Corona virus, the Municipal Commissioners and Collectors of these metros have jointly decided that shops and businesses in these four metros will not be allowed to operate till May 3 and will be kept closed.

Only shops of essentials and necessities that were earlier open during the lockdown will be allowed to continue in these metros. Other areas-districts in the state on Sunday. Businesses are allowed to start from April 26.

These services will not be started

Mall, market complex,
Haircutting salon, beautician,
Shops selling Pan-Gutka-BD-Cigarettes,
Hotel restaurant can not be turned on taxi services,
Rickshaw service, Uber or other bus services will also not start in the state.
Ration for NSFS card holders started tomorrow

10 lakh families have been given rations tomorrow. In a day and a half, 1.5 million people have received their ration. So far 6.90 lakh quintals of crops have been procured. Wheat and castor have been received in the market yard.
